Design Round 1

For the first round of design we had to create two looks for the home page and a inner page. I designed the events page as the one inner page. The two looks use two different forms of the navigation and one of the designs uses icons instead just a mix of words and images.

Java Love Wireframes

This is the first round of wireframes drawn up for the different pages included in the site. Some of the structure changed as I played around with design, but this is just the first round of wireframes and the updated versions will come later. There are also some design sketches that I drew up as I was pumping out ideas for the wireframes.

Java Love – Local Business

The beginning of the Get Local project started off with a hunt for a local business that is in need a website to support their business. I searched around for different businesses and as soon as I walked into Java Love in Montclair I was excited by the atmosphere and I decided to find out more. When I furthered my research I found out that this local business also has a great story behind the owners and love they put into their shop.

Here is some of the research I did including pictures of the business and some questions that furthered my knowledge and understanding of the business. I also looked at some analogous sites that Java Love may relate to.
